DGV, Double Guided Valve,

DGV, Double Guided Valve, represents the latest nozzle design from Bosch. This design uses a thrust piece to align the control valve stem to the nozzle needle. A thrust member that rests on top of the nozzle needle controls total needle lift. The design change was made in order to combat side loading of the DRST thrust member. This updated design allows for more reliable operation of the injector. Torque Diesel Motorsports recognized the significance of this design change and only uses 100% new Bosch DGV style nozzles, thrust pieces, thrust members, nozzle springs, and valve sets in order to ensure the best in consistency and longevity.

DRST style nozzles

DRST style nozzles use a single piece thrust member, unlike the two piece design in the DGV style nozzle. This design can cause side loading of the thrust member against the injector body. Side loading can create premature wear of the injector body, slow injector response times, smoking issues, and injector failure. Additionally, side loading can create inconsistency between injection everts. Inconsistent injections can create rough idle, smoking, and vibrations. It is highly recommended to upgrade all DRST style nozzles to the DGV style nozzle in order to achieve the highest quality performance.
